This wedding was very special. The day before the wedding I called the bride and found out that she was in the hospital and just got out two days before. But she was all set to get married and nothing could change her mind. She wanted to marry the man she loved.

As the day went on, she amazed me with her strength and willingness to participate in any ideas we had. I knew she wasn't feeling up to par, but she didn't let that stop her.

There is a saying that love has no boundaries. These two are living examples of this.

Vanessa and Mitch, you two are incredible people and I'm so glad I was part of your special day :)

Winter & Casey - Married !!

A little while ago we traveled to Grand Manan Island on Friday evening. The wedding the following day promised to be laid back, fun, with stunningly beautiful scenery and backgrounds.

The day of the wedding was just that; fun and beautiful. The sun couldn't have been hotter and the photo oportunities were amazing with the small towns and breathtaking landscape.

I took so many photos, I couldn't decide on which ones were my favourites to put on the blog. But I had to narrow it down, so here are my choices below.

Chelsea & Mike - Married !!

It was a beautiful day on PEI and just perfect for an intimate wedding. There are so many spots to stop for photographs it was unbelievable. I love the island. Time went by way too fast!

I knew when I photographed Chelsea and Mike's engagement session, that they were a fun couple and up for anything. But what I found out was not only they were up for anything, but so was the bridal party :) You guys rocked the camera !!!

I photographed the guys first while we waited for the girls to arrive. Mike hadn't seen Chelsea that day so we set up the scene where he would see her for the first time. It was so precious the when he saw her. His expression said it all. There was no doubting how much he loved her.

I had an amazing time with all of you. Thank you for choosing me to be part of your incredible day!

Laura & Justin - Wedding !

Laura and Justin are a great couple, full of love and a lot of fun. The wedding was elegant and when Justin first saw Laura, the smile on his face secretly told what his heart was thinking. It was the sweetest thing.

After the ceremony and family photos, we took off to get those great couple shots and went to an off the road place which I was in awe of. It was beautiful. And I laughed so much, I thought my face would crack......lol

The reception was just as fun with a ton of laughter and giggles :)

Trish & Mike - Wedding!!

Trish and Michael are a wonderful couple, full of love and respect for one another. When their wedding approached, Trish sent me an email with a list of things she would like to have photos of, and most I had in mind already......lol. We were on the same track.

Their wedding day was a lot of fun. With lots of time allowed for me to be a bit creative with the details before the ceremony, I got down to business.....did I say lately I love my job!!! I absolutely love taking ring shots as well as other details, but especially the rings. After all, this is the symbol of their love.

Their reception was well planned and a blast....Trish is so organized!! Both Trish and Mike are big hockey fans...Trish, Montreal Canadians, and Mike, Toronto Maple Leafs. So of course this had to be part of the reception. They came into the reception as they were announced wearing their teams hockey jerseys. It was a great entrance to everyone's surprise :)

They also had a fantastic idea for people to get them to kiss. There was a card on each table and anyone that wanted them to kiss, had to get up and read the question and then answer the question...correctly. If they got the right answer, the bride and groom would kiss. However, if they got it wrong, 'they' had to kiss someone. Well in one of the photos below, someone didn't get the right answer and decided to kiss the bridal party, guys included.....LOL.

Trish and Michael, thank you for a wonderful day and including me in your celebration! I enjoyed myself immensely.

Vanessa & Mitch - Engaged!!

I've been waiting and excited for this photo shoot, it seems like forever, as every time we would schedule the time, it would turn out to be down pouring rain. But recently we finally were able to get together to do the engagement session. Their wedding is coming up fast and I can't wait for their day :)

The place had been set since we first met and we wanted this particular spot for the shoot. It was unusual and very different.

The evening was perfect. The sun was about to set and the light was amazing. It had breathtaking views. We could see the city of Moncton in the distance which made a fantastic backdrop.

Thank you Vanessa and Mitch for a wonderful time and for playing along with some of my ideas *S*.

Rachelle & Stephen - Wedding!!

On the way to Grande Digue the day of Rachelle & Stephen's wedding, I was thinking of all shots that may be possible. The wedding was held at the bride's parents' cottage on the water. The sun was strong and humidity high, but it was a day to celebrate. This was the first time we met up for any photos as they live out west and came to New Brunswick for their special day.

I was pleasantly greeted by family and friends as I walked in the cottage. Rachelle was getting her makeup on so I took the opportunity to get the shots of all the great accessories and of course the beautiful dress. Then I turned my attention to the bride.

The day went very well with lots of laughter, smiles, and giggles. Everyone looked great and was so friendly and welcoming. I felt like part of the family :)

And to the girls and guys of the wedding party, you really know how to work it!!! You guys rock!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you two. Rachelle you are a gem, and Stephen you are hilarious.....lol. I'm so glad I had the chance to meet you and capture your wedding day.

The humidity was starting to get to everyone, including the bridesmaids. So I couldn't help taking a candid shot.....lol.

Below all the girls got to wear beautiful handmade aprons. Every one was different. And the girls worked it up a bit for the camera *S*

Tara & Mike - Engaged!

Tara and Mike are a great couple who are getting married later this year. I had a lot of fun photographing these two. They work so well together and they love to laugh, which of course is very catching.

We arrived at the beach just in time for some fantastic light. The sun was at it's best and shining very warmly down onto the sand and water.

A little bit later it was sinking in the sky producing some amazing colours. I absolutely love sunsets. There is something about them that gives me this great feeling inside. And then I think to myself how lucky I am to be able to capture breath taking beauty and how I love my job.

Cindy & Jeff - Wedding!!

As I drove to Nova Scotia on a particularly hot day, I was thinking of all the shots I wanted to take of this wedding (after getting a glimpse into what the bride and groom were planning when we spoke). When I neared the area where the ceremony was to take place, I turned onto a dirt road. I knew it wasn't much further and I began to get excited for all the ideas we had. I turned into their driveway and was greeted by the bride's friendly father. He welcomed us into their home and what a beautiful place it was. It was breath taking. I was in total awe of the surroundings. A gorgeous cottage right by the lake with a dock and lots of trees. With all the heat that day, the shade from the trees were a welcomed sight.

I first met Cindy and Jeff last fall when I took their engagement photos at the beach. I knew right then that these two were very much in love and would be fun to be around. I was right on both counts. Cindy always has a smile and a laugh, and Jeff, although cool and collective, broke into quite a few smiles and laughs throughout our time together. And their wedding day was more of the same. It was so cute when Jeff first saw Cindy as she came off the boat in her wedding dress.

It was great to work with you two again. Thank you for inviting my camera to capture your wonderful day. Enjoy your sneak peak!

Amy & Andrew - Wedding!

Recently I had the pleasure of capturing Amy & Andrew's wedding. What a great couple. And what a love story on how they met and how things that are meant to be will always find a way.

They met on a World wind Contiki Tour of Europe, where they visited 8 countries in 12 days. They immediately hit it off and spent the next 2 weeks traveling around Europe together. Then on the way back to Canada, they miraculously ended up on the same flight together. Andrew lived in Montreal at the time and Amy lived in Moncton. Andrew made the trip each month to visit Amy for the next 2 years. Then when Andrew got posted with the Navy in the West Coast, both of them decided that in order for their relationship to work, Amy had to move with him. So she took the plunge and made the move. A year and a half later, they both traveled back to Moncton to spend the Christmas holidays with Amy's parents. Then on New Year's 2009, Andrew proposed to Amy in front of all her family and now they are husband and wife and partners in life.

Congratulations you two! Thank you for sharing your love story with me.

I was so moved with your speeches to each other, I had a tear in my eye and had to put my camera down for a moment to get my composure again.

I wish you both a fantastic life together. Thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful day. Enjoy your sneak peek :)

Brandi & Shaun - Engaged !!

Well, I have to confess, this photo shoot was interesting, fun, and downright entertaining. When we met up they were both kind of shy, but that soon disappeared with each click of the shutter. Soon we were laughing, joking, and having lots of fun. These two were very relaxed and natural to photograph as they interacted with each other.

I also found out that both of them have their birthday on the same date.......imagine!! How often do you find that? And to think they found each other is simply amazing. So with their birthdays being a shared date, they planned their wedding on that day. How cool is that!

This has taken a bit longer than expected as there were so many photos to go through, but here is the preview wedding of Chrissy & Wayne. This couple is fun and very much in love.

We had a gorgeous day for the photos. The ceremony and reception was held at the beautiful La Teraz Art Gallery in Moncton. As the proceedings took place, you could hear the trickling of the water fountain in the background. The sound of the water was very soothing and I couldn't help but think how appropriate it was for this wedding.

The 2010 Wedding Photography Contest is now closed as of Dec 31, 2009. I want to thank each and every one of you who entered the contest. What a great bunch of bride and grooms there are this year! 2010 is going to rock!

When it came to drawing the names, I involved a friend in this so everything would be unbiased. She shuffled the 14 names and pulled out the winners. Thank you Shannon for your assistance on this!

Celine & Jacques got married!! What a nice wedding in their own backyard. It started to rain, but despite the weather, the day went well.

This was a fun photo shoot. It was a commercial family session, kids will be kids. I had a great time. And the weather couldn't have been better. These were shot early evening with lots of late day sunshine.

Miss "A" is 11 months!

Well, Miss "A" turned 11 months old a few days ago and mom decided it was time for more photos. She was enjoying the day and the water in a little tub splish splashing away wearing her new bathing suit. Then she got bored of the tub and started exploring the grass and surrounding shrubs.

This first photo, her grandmother couldn't stop laughing. Miss "A" was trying to catch the water she was splashing in her mouth.......lol.

I love this pose......it's as if she was practicing for a future modeling career......lol

Dana & JoAnn's Wedding!!

The day started out really nice with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures as I made the drive to Fredericton for Dana & JoAnn's wedding. The reception was decked out with a red, black, and white theme.

During the ceremony, it started to rain, so we took all the photos indoors at the hotel where the reception was held. It was so beautiful, it made a gorgeous backdrop.

Dana & JoAnn, hope you had a great honeymoon. Thank you for letting me be a part of your very special day. You two are a hoot. Here are some of my favourites from the day. I had lots of images to go through and I had a hard time choosing :)
